The key to living a healthy lifestyle is prevention daily with our diet, exercise, sleep, drinking water and to include all of our routine procedures such as a routine screening colonoscopy.
Let’s begin with what is a colonoscopy. A Colonoscopy (koe-lun-OS-kuh-pee) is an exam used to detect changes or anything that is not normal in the large (colon) and rectum. During a colonoscopy, a long, flexible tube (colonoscope) is inserted into the rectum. A tiny video camera at the tip of the tube allows the doctor to view the inside of the entire colon. mayoclinic.org
